FISHING IN DUBAI

If you love fishing, you can hire a 10m boat here for you and your friends to angle in style. The fairly high cost does include a skipper as well as lunch for both you and the fish, and it might seem less costly when the price is divided between the six passengers the boat can hold.

PARKS AND BEACHES
Dubai BEACH

Dubai is known for its many excellent beaches and beach parks. The main beaches of Dubai run alongside the Jumeirah Road. these many different beaches are actually one long beach which has been divided up into smaller beaches by hotels and private clubs, with a few public beaches in between. The Jumeirah beaches are also known for their soft white powder sands and the shallow temperate turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf.
One of the public beaches that is commonly known as the Al-Mamzar park is situated on the Deira side of the Dubai creek and is famous for its picnic family areas, playgrounds for children, barbecue sites and snack kiosks.

Dubai CREEK

The Creek epitomizes Dubai in the minds of Gulf residents. This is where the emirate originated. This once shallow estuary provided Dubai fishermen, pearl divers, and merchants a base of operations. Traders and smugglers from here ventured into the Gulf and the Arabian Sea, some and as far as the coast of East Africa.
Small trading vessels still tie up here. Hotels, restaurants, and cafes line the Corniche, especially on the Deira Dubai side of the waterway. The museums , the tourist boats, and the water taxis, known locally as abras are all here. For the small fee of 50 fils (or half a dirham) you can cross from Deira to Bur Dubai . There are no railings, just a gunwale a few inches high; there aren’t even any cushions. However, this is the cheapest and most pleasant way of crossing the Creek. You can, hire one of the vessels to take you on your own cruise up and down the Creek for just a few dollars which is probably the most economical way to enjoy the sights at night. The lights and the stars reflecting off the Creek are a sight to behold. Don’t miss stopping for at least a coffee and maybe a shisha (water pipe) along the way.

MUSHRIF PARK

Al-Jumeira Rd, Dubai, United Arab Emirates +971-4-2883624
Mushrif Park is a good example of the optimal utilization of the element of nature in public parks. Prior to the establishment of the park, the area was full of widely spread trees; some of them were more than 50 years old and 15 meters high. Moreover, the park has a dry climate and is located in the vicinity of the city center. In 1981, the first phase of development started with the set- up of a ladies swimming pool, a fully equipped gymnasium and a snack house. A rooftop for the men's swimming pool, an administration office and a main restaurant for visitors was built. Due to the large increase of the park's visitors number, and in order to improve the recreational services, the second phase of development has been undergone. A variety of recreational and service facilities costing 17 million Dirhams were instituted.
